Awesome music

Ok, I haven't been blogging here since my superdepressing blog post. So now I'm gonna cheer up that blog post with a YAAAAAAY-blog post. Cause that's how I roll, my awesome mood swings.
I'm fan of a American band called Dream Theater. They have been a band since 1985, and plays prog.rock music which is superaaawesooome. I haven't been a fan for so long, really. My brother and my brother-in-law have listened to them for years, and many of the songs reminds me of when I was a kid (like Erotomania, for example), and how I didn't like the music back then. Now I'm thinking: what the hell was wrong with me? I loved a1, E-Type and Britney Spears. And they all suck. Or they did back then, at least. a1 had these hits like Caught in the Middle and Make it Good. They're all shitty songs, which I only listening to now because of the memories of those songs. And ok, they're actually a little bit catchy. Especially Caught in the Middle, the guitarriffs at the beginning of the songs is quite wiii.. But it's still crappy music. It's no good music. My brother tried desperatly to get me to like prog.rock instead of the superlame pop-music that went on and on at my room. But I was extremely stubborn that a1 was the best band in the world, and I didn't listen to him. It took years before I started listening to them. For a couple years, I actually were superduperhyperfan of Robbie Williams. And when I'm saying superduperhyperfan, I mean superduperhyperfan. I knew EVERYTHING about him. What his mothers name was, how he was when he was a kid, why he has a scar in his head, what his tattoos said and I actually read his horoscope sometimes... it is scary to think about it now, I was a superstalker of mr. Williams. I even kissed my posters of him good night each night when I went to sleep. THAT IS CREEPY. But I was a teen, and that's my excuse. I'm glad that it was just for a period, and not my whole life. After my Robbie Williams-period, I became a huge fan of Muse, which I still is a big fan of. (Not even close to what I were of Robbie Williams, though) I've been listening to their music for 7 years now, and I never get sick of those songs. Some of them actually still gives me goosebumps sometimes. Muse is just simply awesome. And 23th July last year, I was so lucky to see them live here in Bergen. I was about 3-5 meters from Matthew Bellamy, I was that close to the stage. It was superawesome! Many Norwegians (and probably people from other countries too) drinks alot of alcohol when they're heading to a concert. I have never understood why people do that. Ya, of course, alcohol is fun, but if you drink too much, it may happend that you don't remember a thing of the concert. That's wasting of money on a high level. So I decided, 23th July last year, that I could buy ONE beer. And only one! And I did hold on that promise to myself. Firstly, beer is extremely expensive in Norway, compared to other countries I've been to. In Denmark it's supercheap. A soda in Norway costs as much as a beer in Denmark. And this is at restaurants etc, I don't know the prices in a regular store. ANYWAY. Muse. Uhhhmm. Ya, the concert was absolutely awesome. Muse has this supercool light show on the stage during concerts, and with my awesome paparazzi-skills I got some nice photos (even though I only used my phone and some sucky compact camera). The music was also of course awesome, I think the best part was when they played New Born. That's my absolute favorite song of Muse. And I loved Stockholm Syndrome too, I recorded that with my phone, so I've watched several times.
The point that I was heading for, was a Dream Theater dream. I have only been a fan for a year, but I absolutely think that I'm gonna stay fan forever. It started with "The Best of Times", and "Count of Tuscany", a friend of mine said that I had to listen to these songs. And so I did. And you know what? I was superaddicted to The Best of Times, I listened to it ten times a day, every day for several months. I loved it! And Count of Tuscany was my "shower-song"; I always listened to it when I was in the shower, so I knew how long time I'd used :p (the Count of Tuscany lasts for 19 minutes and 18 seconds) I did this for like 9 months, listened over and over again. When I went to sleep, when I was out for a walk, when I just was surfing on internet, EVERYTHING I did, I did with The Best of Times and the Count of Tuscany. And Muse.
Dream Theater released a new album a couple weeks ago, which I now am addicted to. The album is called A Dramatic Turn of Events, and my favoritesongs at this album is Lost Not Forgotten and On The Backs Of Angels. I love it! I've also started to listen to the older albums, like Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a Memory. I love these songs too.
My point! I have to go now, so I'm gonna skip to the point of this blog post. In January 2012, me and a friend of mine is going to a Dream Theater concert in Oslo!!! :D I'm so superexcited that I have to pee! It's going to be awesome!!
